What Is Asatru?
Asatru means Faith in the Gods or True to the Gods in the Icelandic language.
Asatru is a pre-Christian spirituality of Northern Europe. It is the Way by which the Germanic peoples have traditionally related to the Gods and Goddesses and to the world around them.
Asatru is our native Way. Just as there are Native American religions in the Americas, so there are Native European religions. Asatru being one of them. It guided our ancesters in ancient times, and it can give us wisdom and strength today.
